I don’t think there’s a person alive who hasn’t tried to get in shape. Perhaps they may go on a diet for a few days or they may even take things to the next level, and actually go to the gym.
Some people are successful and other people fall short of the mark. Of course, when you compare yourself to some of the celebrities that keep themselves in top physical condition, it is difficult to measure up at times.
That is surely the case with Channing Tatum, who had a discussion with Kelly Clarkson about a movie that is coming up. He had to prepare for his part in Magic Mike’s Last Dance and to do so, he had to starve himself.
We realize that Channing Tatum is willing to go the extra mile as he is one of the top actors in Hollywood today. He has played in a lot of action movies as well as done some comedy, and he has done a good job of it.
Magic Mike, however, is perhaps the movie he is remembered for more than any other. If you don’t remember the movie, just imagine Tatum without a shirt on for an entire film, and you are probably thinking about the right flick.
Now that the sequel is almost due to come out, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is sure to be a hit from the start. In speaking with Clarkson, Tatum told her that he had to practically starve himself in order to get in shape for the movie.
If you have ever gone on an extreme diet and stuck with it for any length of time, you realize what kind of a difference it can make in your physique. For Channing Tatum, it was a bit of a struggle because he’s not somebody that works out that much in real life. He just tends to have an average body, but he took things to the next level for the movie.
In order to prepare for the movie, Tatum had to work out twice a day and he was only able to eat meals that fit into certain criteria. When Clarkson asked him what type of food he missed more than any, he answered ‘salt’.
Some actors will do almost anything to play the part, but it seems as if Channing Tatum is willing to go even further by starving himself for a role that is sure to go down in history.
