There are many professions to choose from but perhaps the one that means the most to a person is when they can choose a job that allows them to help others. It could be a first-responder job, and there are many benefits to being the first one on scene. Another job that has those types of benefits is being a teacher. Not only do we get to shape the minds of the youth, we can be there to experience some of the best moments children have to offer. That is what happened when this teacher asked her students a simple question. The answers took her by surprise.
Kyle is a third grade teacher at a low-income school in Colorado. One day, she asked her students what they wished she knew about them. She had them submit their answers anonymously on little slips of paper and later shared them on her Twitter account.
Now, a wave of teachers are posting their students’ responses on Twitter with the hashtag #iwishmyteacherknew . Many of these are heartbreaking.
