When a man becomes a father, his first instinct is to protect his child until his dying breath. However, most parents never think that their tiny little bundles of joy would be the ones saving them someday.
But, that’s just what happened to a dad named Jonathan Cedillo. It turns out the man had no idea he was having a heart attack and had it not been for his newborn baby daughter, it’s likely he would have died. Even though she was only three weeks old and weighed 7 pounds, this tiny little angel is being hailed as a true hero.
John, age 47, began feeling a bit of shooting pain going through his right shoulder. However, the professional wrestler, thought that it might just be one of many nagging injuries he deals with daily. During this time, he and his fiancée had been expecting their miracle baby, a little girl they named Juliette Francine. Their child wasn’t expected to arrive for another month.
But, it seems fate had other plans as John’s fiancée Vanessa, had gone into labor early.
After a few days by Vanessa’s side, while she recovered at Riverside Community Hospital, John began feeling “really bad and achy.” Most folks who spent the night at a hospital know just how difficult it can be to get a good night’s sleep. Therefore, JHohn decided to head home for a bit and rest up. The next day, he planned to pick both his wife and their little girl up after they were discharged.
However, John didn’t feel any better at home. Every ten to 15 minutes the man would wake up because of the increasing pain in his shoulder.
While he’d been wrestling a few months before his daughter was born, John suffered a serious injury to his shoulder and spine. And since that time he’d dealt with intermittent pain.
This is why he didn’t think much of the shooting pains, as he believed it was just his old injury causing trouble again.
When John returned the next day to pick up his wife and daughter, the pain was so severe, he had to lay down right away after kissing them both hello.
Thanks to his daughter’s early birth, John was just where he needed to be to have his life saved.
Nurses learned about John’s problems and quickly realized his ailments as symptoms of a heart attack! Soon, other hospital staff members were alerted and John was immediately taken to receive life-saving treatment.
Doctors soon discovered that the man had been having ongoing heart attacks. They also found a terrifying 100 percent blockage. But, because he had gotten treatment in time, they successfully cleared it and placed a special stent to keep the valve open.
Had John not been right at the hospital while picking up his wife and daughter, it’s likely he would have gone untreated and this story would have a very different ending.
Thanks to his little girl, John’s life was saved.
Somehow, we think he’ll make good on his word!
