When it comes to iconic actresses, one that comes to mind is the incomparable Goldie Hawn, who starred in movies like “Shampoo,” “Private Benjamin,” “The First Wives Club,” “Overboard,” and more. She got her big break in Hollywood in a role on the NBC sketch comedy TV show called “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In,” a show that ran from 1968-1970. She’s had a long career in Hollywood and even received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in a movie called “Cactus Flower,” which was released in 1969. She also earned a Golden Globe Award for that same role, as it turns out.
Goldie was born in Washington, D.C. Her mother was a ballet school owner and her dad was a musician who played in bands in the area. In fact, Goldie’s first big performance was in the corps de ballet of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo when she was only 10 years old in 1955. Later on, she actually ran a dance school where she taught classes. She did go to college for a while but ended up dropping out of her pursuit of a degree in drama. Later, the actress worked as a go-go dancer in New York City and at the Peppermint Box in New Jersey. When it comes to romance, her story is just as fascinating.

Goldie has been married twice and has had several high-profile romances with actors like heartthrob Tom Selleck. However, the true love of her life is Kurt Russell, with who she’s been in a relationship since 1983. The couple met in 1966 when filming a movie, but it wasn’t until they were both working on the set of another movie that they began to date. Together, the two have a son named Wyatt Russell, and Goldie has two other children: Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson. Kurt has a son named Boston, from a previous relationship.

Kurt said in an interview with the Daily Mail in 2018 that for them, it’s all about the kids. “Everyone has their marker on what is really important and where you draw the line. For Goldie and me, that core value was this: the kids come first,” he said. They’ve stuck to this, and their relationship shows that they put their family above everything else. They also have six grandchildren. Recently, Goldie shared a photo of herself with six-year-old granddaughter Rio and fans can’t believe how much they look alike. Check them out below.
It’s nice to see a long-term relationship in Hollywood, and Goldie says that being a grandmother is “amazing” and she loves every minute of it. Her grandchildren call her “Go-Go.”
