There are many decisions that we make every day in life. Some of the decisions are not even things that we consider consciously, such as what we are going to wear that day or perhaps if we are going to brush our teeth or not. We just tend to do a lot of those things automatically. Other decisions require some thought and if we are too hasty in making those choices, it can come back to haunt us in the end. That is what happened in this fictional story about a woman who made a decision and lived to regret it.
Two days before I got married to my loving husband, I received a phone call from one of his relatives who questioned my decision to marry him by saying he didn’t make enough money. It’s sometimes not just about money. Read on below a somewhat similar story.
A poor boy was in love with a rich man’s daughter.
One day the boy proposed to her and the girl said, “Hey! Listen, your monthly salary is equivalent to my daily expenses. How could this ever work out?
Why would you even think this is a consideration? I could never love you, so forget about me and get engaged to someone else of YOUR level.
But despite her resistance, the boy couldnt forget her so easily.
Sometime 10 years later they stumbled into each other in a shopping mall.
“Hey! You! How are you? She said. And started spinning the same tale: “Its been a while, but Im now married with a husband whose salary is $15,700 per month! Can you beat that? He’s also super smart.
He felt his eyes watering with tears on hearing those words from the same lady.
A few seconds later, her husband came around. But before the lady could say a word her husband, upon seeing the guy, said
Sir! You’re here! And I see you’ve met my wife”
Then he said to his wife, “This is my boss in who owns the $100 million project Im working on! And do you know something my dear? He once loved a lady but he couldn’t win her heart….That’s why he has remained unmarried since. How lucky would that lady have been, if she had married him now? These days, who would love someone that much” he said to his wife.
The lady looked in total shock but couldn’t utter a word….
Final Words: Life is so short and it’s just like a mirror. You can only see as much as it reflects. So don’t be too arrogant or proud by looking down on others because of their current situations. Things get changed with time just like the weather..! Don’t underestimate anyone because everyone has a different story!
