There are certain songs that just seem to stick with us from the first time that we hear them. They seem to reach out to us on a very personal level and at times, we may even feel as if they were written specifically for us. One of those songs is The Sound of Silence, and it has been around for decades. You don’t have to be as old as the song to appreciate the beauty of it that is heard in the sound of the music and felt in the lyrics that are sung.
As is the case with many popular songs such as The Sound of Silence, people will copy it and even add their own flair to it. That was the case with a musician named Naomi SV. She is a harpist and if you’ve never heard this song played on a harp then you really are missing out on something special in life. It isn’t only the fact that she played it beautifully but she also stood out in a meadow and played it for nature to hear. As it turns out, nature was listening because a curious deer came from the woods and walked over to see what she was doing.
I’m sure that you have heard the expression that music calms the savage beast and I believe that there is a lot of truth in that statement. Although we tend to make music for ourselves as humans, animals have a way of appreciating that music in a very special way.
The funny thing about this whitetail deer is the fact that she didn’t seem to be bothered at all by the human that was standing out in the middle of the meadow and playing on the harp. As soon as another sound happened, however, she darted back into the woods. You can watch it for yourself in the following video as well as the final cut, which does not include the animal.
