Sometimes, life puts us in a place where we have a unique opportunity to make someone’s day, and in some cases, even change their life. We don’t always have the chance to change the world, but what it’s important to remember is that the world is made up of an uncountable number of little spots, and I’m a spot, and every other person and thing is a spot. In fact, the Earth itself is a spot. The way we change the world is to collectively make a difference in small ways every single chance we get. If the best you can do is raise your children to be givers, that’s a lot already. If you can spare a little money for someone who needs it, do that, too. Wherever you are, go with love in your heart and you can’t lose, ultimately. We can’t find the lady who originally posted this to Facebook, but it’s a powerful message worth sharing.
Sitting at the pharmacy waiting for my daughter’s prescriptions to be filled when the couple before me is called with a plethora of important breathing treatments and medication… watching them struggle for quite some time I realize they are attempting to pick the one prescription they can afford. Dividing the $9 into two different cards and still being declined I decided to walk up with a hug and a hey mom dad you left your card and swiftly slide my card where I was met with tears prayers and an invitation to dinner and darts. Kandi and Ken you touched my heart I hope I did the same for you. Take a look around you, give love where it can be given and received because you never know when you will need love in return.
