Art is something that many of us have come to appreciate in life. For some people, there is nothing quite like going to an art museum and looking at some of the masterpieces from many years ago. Some art has even been preserved for hundreds of years and behind the image, there may even be a secondary image that was originally painted over. There is so much to learn about the art pieces that we see in front of us and sometimes, we could spend many hours or perhaps even years learning all that there is to know about one particular piece.
When an artist has a unique ability, they often choose a certain style in order to make it their own. That is the case with an artist named Bev Doolittle. She paints in watercolors, but it isn’t just simple paintings that she is creating. When you look at these paintings for yourself, you begin to see things that you may thought were quite impossible. In fact, she makes watercolors look as beautiful as an oil paintings but there is something else behind her artwork that is really amazing. Some people have referred to it as ‘camouflage art’, and the majority of it tends to focus on Native American life.
Although Doolittle doesn’t consider herself to be a camouflage artist, she does think of herself as a concept painter. She wants to capture the American West in a way that is unique, so she uses camouflage in order to do so. She is very good at what she does and you might be surprised with exactly how difficult it is to find everything that there is to see. That becomes obvious in the following image, because there are horses hiding in the picture and you may not be able to see all of them.
How many horses do you see?
