The human body is very complex in its design and even scientists will readily admit that they know very little about how it works from the inside out. Perhaps one of the more interesting things about the way the body works is in regards to our eyesight. The human brain is geared toward the things that we see and we are very visual individuals. The vast majority of the information that we are taking in comes through our eyes, and that is why it is so important for us to take good care of them. That being said, the eyes can take in a lot of information in a very short amount of time but the brain can only process so much of it.
At times, the eyes may send so much information to the brain that it can’t keep up with it. When that happens, our brain does its best to try to compensate and to come up with what makes the most sense at the time. And that is why most optical illusions take place, because we just can’t process what is being seen in front of us. It also has to do with our perspective but regardless of why we see things differently, it’s always interesting when we do see them that way. A good example is the picture that you see below. Take this simple test and see what you see. You might be surprised with the outcome.
