The human brain is perhaps the most amazing bit of creative genius that exists in the known universe. Scientists continue to marvel over its design and the fact that it is able to do everything that it is able to do. When you really stop to think about it, the human brain is more than just a repository of information, it is a supercomputer that controls our human body and processes information faster than any man-made computer could ever hope to do. Not only that, it is constantly getting input from the world around us through what we see and it has to process that information as well.
When an image comes into our mind, the brain needs to decipher what it is seeing and then take appropriate action. It does this faster than we realize but there are going to be times when the brain does not quite figure out everything that we are seeing. When that takes place, our vision actually gets ahead of the process of the brain and it results in an optical illusion. Some of these optical illusions may be simple to figure out but others are very difficult and we may even find it is impossible to crack the code.
