There are certain songs that are always going to make us stop and listen. Perhaps we have been hearing them since we were very young and we continue to love it, each and every time we hear them playing. Some of them may even have been part of our lives for decades, and I think that is the case for many of us when it comes to an old Queen song, Bohemian Rhapsody. It is just one of those tunes that you can’t help but sing along with and, perhaps it is because it goes from one end of the spectrum to the other, all within a single song. I don’t know about you, but I think Freddie Mercury was a musical mastermind.
At times, we may hear songs performed and they are not by the original artist, but they still make us stand up and pay attention. That was what many people experienced when they were out shopping one day. One of the people who was in the crowd was a teenager and he had gone out with his friends. They watched others perform karaoke for hours, and not all of them were worthy of watching. That is when the teenager finally got his opportunity and he stepped forward to grab the microphone. Little did everyone know that they were about to hear something unexpected and amazing.
When the song, Bohemian Rhapsody started playing, I believe that everybody took a deep breath. At the beginning of the song, there was a voice singing, so the teenager waited patiently until the part when he started singing, “I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy.” That was when everybody got quiet and started paying attention.
It wasn’t only the people in the crowd that were amazed by what he was doing, even people who were walking by stopped to listen. As he continued to captivate the audience in front of him, he gained more and more attention until the finale, which you have to hear for yourself to believe. You can see it and hear it for yourself in the following video:
