A man recently shared how he had recently fallen under the influence and pressure from his overbearing religious family. He shared his story on Reddit’s “Am I the A**hole” subreddit, asking if he was wrong to have asked his bride-to-be not to wear a white dress at their wedding.
He explained in his post.
As you would expect, the vast majority of Redditors were outraged by the man’s actions and definitely believed he was in the wrong.
Several users insisted that his girlfriend dodged a bullet when she refused to marry him.
Users also pointed out how he invaded his bride’s privacy by discussing her sex life with his mom. He then betrayed her by choosing to disrespect his soon-to-be wife to appease his family’s orthodox religious beliefs.
They also found it odd that he would be dating a woman who wasn’t a virgin in the first place if his religious beliefs were really that important to him.
