Christmas music is something that is perhaps more nostalgic than almost anything else that revolves around the holiday. After all, we have been listening to Christmas music since we were growing up and many of us have heard the music every year since we were children. Even though we hear it over and over again, however, we continue to love hearing it because there is so much involved. For many of us, it not only means that we are enjoying the holidays, it means that we are enjoying our family. Perhaps that is why it gives us such a nostalgic feeling that keeps on giving.
Although there may be many different Christmas songs we can listen to, one of the classics that we may hear every year is ‘Rocking around the Christmas Tree’. It may not have the age that some of the other Christmas songs have on them, but it has something that just makes us want to snap our fingers and sing-along. It is also something that can be performed in a group, and children around the world have been performing this during Christmas pageants for many, many years. That was also the case in this Christmas pageant from a decade or so ago, but one that is still cute as ever this year.
In the video below, you get to see some young children at St. Elizabeth Childcare in Jersey City, New Jersey performing the song. They aren’t singing the song, at least not out loud, but what they are doing is dancing to the song in a most adorable way. I can only imagine how proud each and every parent is, every time they see the video.
We live in a time that many people don’t have much to smile about. We are dealing with a lot of stress due to the pandemic and the other things that life is throwing at us.
