If you live in the United States, you realize that you are going to hear some rather loud noises when the Fourth of July is getting close. It’s the day that the entire nation celebrates Independence Day and people are in a rush to have the celebration, especially this year. It seems as if we have been stuck indoors for so many months that all anybody wants to do is to get outside and light off some fireworks. Many states, including New York and California see an upsurge of firework usage every night during this time of year.
Some people are considering it to be a public safety issue, and that is nothing new. Now that many of the events are being canceled due to the current pandemic, it seems as if the safety issue is getting even larger. Retailers are doing what they can to dump the inventory of fireworks by offering huge discounts. It’s extremely easy to obtain many of those fireworks and unfortunately, it can lead to some issues that are rather serious. Of course, we would have to worry about the dangers of fireworks and the fire hazard but there is another danger that you may not consider.
In the Bronx, a family was at home and they had already tucked Adiel Rosario, their three-year-old child into bed. That child was so excited because the fireworks were going off right by the home, and like any child, they were anxious to see what the excitement was all about.
They live on the sixth floor and as Adiel was looking out the window, and just as his older sister opened the window to get a better look, one of the fireworks flew right into the boys bedroom. It was an illegal firework and the result was devastating.
His mother says that he is fortunate to be alive. As you watch the following video as to how things unfolded, you will have to agree.
