The wedding day is going to be one of the most important days of our life. It is the day that we stand up with the person we love and promise we will be together with them forever.
That is only one of the many special moments that will be shared that day and perhaps that is why many people will plan for months to get everything right. They want those special moments to come out right but there are sometimes moments we don’t plan for.
Nobody knows this better than Dalton Mort. She was only 19 years old when she gave birth to Ellora, her daughter. Since the day she was born, Ellora was a part of every moment in her life.
Perhaps that is why it was no big surprise when Ellora was also part of her wedding day. Rather than having her be the flower girl, as so many other couples do, she decided that her daughter would be worn down the aisle.
She said that she chose to wear her rather than have her take part in the ceremony because she knew it would keep her calm. It also gave her the chance to take part in the ceremony.
About 20 minutes after the wedding mass started, Ellora fell asleep. She was comfortable but when she woke up, it was time to nurse. Her mom took things in stride, nursing her girl while she exchanged vows with her husband.
Fortunately, the moment was captured by Laura Schaefer, the wedding photographer. People online have been very supportive of her decision and I’m sure it is a moment they will cherish as a family forever.
