Jimmy Fallon has been cracking jokes and doing musical impressions since he was a teenager, and one of the activities he loves to do on his show is lip sync battles with his celebrity guests. But this time, the competition has a twist: their performances will be judged by singer Justin Timberlake, who says, “I can’t wait to judge you.” Timberlake is sitting down holding a mug with Jimmy’s face on it. Timberlake says that he’s drinking black coffee, but Jimmy says, “Tequila’s kicking in there…” As they get started, Jimmy says that his first song is a “crowd favorite.” His song of choice to lip-sync is a song by the Killers called “Mr. Bright Side.”
Since musical impressions are his forte, Jimmy does a great job with this. Ellen stands gamely clapping on the sidelines when Jimmy’s finished singing. Then, she goes up to the microphone as Jimmy clowns in the background. She announces that the first song that she has chosen is a Diana Ross song that’s not upbeat and good for dancing. The song: “Do You Know Where You’re Going To.” Ellen sits on the floor swaying back and forth. Then she starts “singing” and totally slays it as she’s outlined in effervescent purple light. Meanwhile, Jimmy is boogying down on the sidelines over by the band.

When she’s done, a visibly intimidated Jimmy Fallon takes back over the microphone and says, “I”m not sure if I can top that one, but I’ve gotta try.” He announces that his second song is what some refer to as a “pop culture phenomenon” called “Watch Me.” Honestly, Jimmy Fallon completely nails this song. His dance moves are out of this world, except when they’re downright ridiculous, which is often. He finishes with fanfare and Ellen gets back up, giving him the side-eye. Her next song is, much to everyone’s surprise, a song that’s about a business transaction that involved someone borrowing some cash and isn’t paying it back in a timely manner. The song is called “Bitch, Betta Have My Money.”
Once again, Ellen slays. This performance is hilarious. Sitting over with the band, the “judge” Justin Timberlake is getting down. When Ellen’s done, Timberlake slips her the money. She’s the winner! Watch this hilarious video below.
