There are many people we may meet every day and, for the most part, we tend to ignore them and move on our way. There may be times when we meet someone that really takes us by surprise and rather than being someone who is here and gone, they have a significant impact on our lives. Many of these people are older and we respect them because of their years of wisdom. At the same time, however, this joke shows that old people sometimes are just funny people.
This is a true story of a woman who stood before a judge after shoplifting from her local supermarket.
When she went before the judge in Cincinnati he asked her, What did you steal?
She replied, A can of peaches.
Surprised at her calm demeanor, the judge asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches and she replied that she was hungry. Then the judge asked her how many peaches were in the can. She replied 6.
The Judge said, Then I will give you 6 days in jail.
Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment, the womans husband spoke up and asked the judge if he could say something on his wifes behalf. The judge said, What is it?
The husband said, She also stole a can of peas.
