As a kid growing up, I loved to go camping. It was a favorite activity for my family and we went camping several times during the spring, summer, and fall of every year. It wasn’t at all unusual for our trips to include our large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and on many trips, it also included family friends. Having other kids on our trips to play with made the camping trips extra fun, of course. When I was an older child and teenager, we usually went camping using a camping trailer, which had air conditioning, a kitchen, and a comfy bed. However, my fondest memories are of camping out in a tent. Yes, it was hot and a bit terrifying, but it really felt more like camping. There’s nothing like being a part of the great outdoors. The conversation that takes place between the father and son in the joke below sounds exactly like something that would have happened in my family. Enjoy!
An educated son and his illiterate father went on a camping trip. They set up their tent and fell asleep. After a few hours father woke his son and asked…
Father: Look up the sky and tell me what are you seeing?
Son: I am seeing millions of stars.
Father: What does that mean to you?
Son: Astronomically, it means that there are millions of galaxies and planets in the space.
Father: Idiot! Someone has stolen our tent.
