I watch a lot of videos all day long for work, and so does my husband. We work side by side and treat our home office workday the same as we would if were working in a high-rise office building. In other words, what I’m trying to say it, we don’t bug each other. Usually. But I saw a video today that I had to stop everything else I was doing and ask him to do the same. The video was the one you’ll see below. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life and my husband shouted out loud in astonishment when he saw it. A cockatoo named Pebble was told to go to her cage and she clearly didn’t want to go. But don’t worry. She makes that readily apparent. I guarantee you, you’ve never heard a sailor curse like this.
Pebble has lived in 10 different homes over the last 20 years, which is atypical because these special birds typically bond closely with the humans who love them. It’s not unusual for a cockatoo to live to be 90 to 100 years old and they learn a lot over the course of their long lives. The cockatoo can actually be any of the 21 parrot species that belong to the Cacatuidae family. These beautiful birds are highly social and love to travel in noisy and colorful flocks when they’re in the wild. Supposedly, Pebble knows that she shouldn’t curse in public, but well, when a girl gets irritated, you never know how she’ll react.
In the video below, you’ll see that Pebble is not just upset about being told to go back to her cage. She is downright furious and indignant. How DARE this lowly human suggest that she go to bed. How dare he! She flew completely off the handle and cursed as I’ve never heard anyone curse before, bird or human. My husband said that even a New Yorker couldn’t beat Pebble at swearing. She just cusses up a storm. You can follow Pebble on Facebook, where she has a ton of followers and people who absolutely adore her. Believe it or not, Pebble is a rescue bird. It’s hard to believe that someone would not want to keep her and enjoy her forever.
Listen closely. You’ll hear the infamous F-word a lot, but Pebble actually says other things, too. How many words can you pick out of this string of profanity?
