It seems like every day. We read something about a Hollywood marriage either on the rocks or ending. So often hear about actors and actresses having affairs and see the painful dramas played out in public.
Let’s be honest. Marriage is hard work. This is why it’s so important to find that right person, but most importantly, be willing to work on yourself to make things work. Showing your spouse love is a conscious effort that not everyone’s good at or willing to work on.
However, it seems that actor Gary Sinise and his wife, actress Moira Harris, have it all figured out. They’ve been married going on 40 years and have raised three children together. And according to this couple, their love for each other is stronger than ever.
Every marriage experiences obstacles and many couples tend to bond closer when facing shared adversities. For Gary and Moira, this is the case.
You may know Gary Sinise from any number of his famous roles, such as playing Lt. Dan in “Forrest Gump,” a role for which he was nominated for an Oscar. People also recognize him from starring in the hit TV drama CSI: New York.
Gary is also very active with military veterans and even began the Gary Sinise Foundation to help veterans who were injured while serving their country by building them adaptive homes.
He also does his best to bring joy into the lives of children whose parents were killed in the line of duty by treating them to trips to fun destinations like Disney World.
Gary also enjoys playing music and loves performing in the LT. Dan Band. He also organizes Veterans Day events. The actor once said:
It’s little wonder why Moira is still in love with this kindhearted man.
The actor also believes in putting family first, and in 2017, when he was about to become a first-time grandfather, he turned down many roles that he would normally say yes to. He wished to ensure he was there for the birth of his granddaughter.
Gary and Moira met long before they became celebrities. In fact, they attended college at the same university and have been happily married since 1981.
