Weddings are usually very fancy and formal affairs where both brides and grooms dress to look their very best on a day that will forever change their lives. It’s not unusual for people to spend thousands of dollars and take years to plan their weddings down to even the smallest details. And while weddings can have different themes that make them a bit unique, one thing that’s almost a standard is what the bride and groom wear.
The bride will typically wear a long white gown, while the groom wears a simple black tuxedo or shirt and tie.
However, lately, one groom has caught heat over his “wedding casual” attire.
Violet Prince shared a clip on social media showing her best friend Chatrine Nicholson marrying her groom. The latter decided to show up at their wedding wearing only a black t-shirt depicting the brand “Palm Angels” and a pair of faded grey jeans and tennis shoes.
Meanwhile, his bride was wearing a lovely formfitting wedding dress complete with a skirt that flared at the bottom to create a peacock-like fan.
Many people who saw the photos couldn’t help but speculate about what was happening and the groom’s apparent disrespect for his bride and their wedding.
Prince also explained in a video how Nicholson had told her that she “ain’t gonna fall in love,” but ended up doing just that only a few months before marrying her groom.
Some folks expressed alarm at how quickly Catherine decided to jump into marriage.
