However, in real life, the actor’s character and fatherly instincts have been criticized for years since people learned he’s never met his only begotten daughter after she was born.

According to sources, Wilson has a healthy relationship with his male children and is a big part of their lives as an active father. However, ever since his ex-girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates was having his child, he reportedly avoided all contact with his daughter and her mother.
Wilson and Vongsvirates had an off and on relationship for five years, and when he learned she was with child, she says he changed his phone number, reports RadarOnline.com.
Initially, Vongsvirates was very excited about bringing their daughter into the world because she believed Wilson would be the perfect dad after seeing how well he got along with his sons. While pregnant, she said:

Despite the proof of a DNA test proving he is Lyla’s father, it seems he’s still not completely convinced she’s his child. However, according to the Daily Mail, he continued sending $26,000 every month for child support and had to pay Vongsvirates $70,000 to pay for her labor coach, night nurse, and legal fees.
The mom says she’s begged Wilson to play a more active role in their daughter’s life and says she feels positively heartbroken whenever she sees pictures of Wilson with his male children.
Vogsvirates says she only wants the same for their daughter.
However, Wilson still chooses to remain a stranger to his only daughter, despite how much Vongsvirates told him how much Lyla needs her father.
The reason Vongsvirates so badly wishes for Wilson to be a part of his daughter’s life is that she knows from experience what it’s like growing up with just one parent.
