Most of us don’t have the opportunity to give a speech very often. In fact, one of the only times that we may stand up in front of a group of people and give a speech is at a wedding.
When it comes to wedding speeches, we realize that they come in all different shapes and sizes. Some are going to be funny and perhaps even take a jab at the bride and groom. Others are going to be sentimental and there are some that will bring a tear to your eye.
When one bride decided to stand up and give a speech, she did so in a way that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house. She didn’t talk about her husband, however, she talked about some other men that were in her life.
You see, her husband is a police officer and she had six other officers standing behind him. These were the ones that stood by her husband on a day-to-day basis and made sure that he got home safely.
After giving the speech, she also had a surprise for everyone in attendance. She gave out gift cards to Dunkin’ Donuts but they weren’t for people to feed themselves, it was to feed a cop.
When we look at the bride in the video below, we can see that she did look beautiful standing there. What was really beautiful, however, is the fact that she said the words that she said. These were the words that really meant something to her husband, to those other police officers, and everyone in attendance.
Perhaps another thing that really took us by surprise was the fact that everybody was not expecting what she was going to say. In fact, the looks on their faces said it all and that they were surprised by it too.
