Have you ever bought something and had instant regret? This happens especially when you know there’s no option of sending the item back or returning it. There’s just this huge sense of betrayal when you pay your hard-earned money for something only to end up with something completely different than what you were expecting. My husband saw a Facebook ad once with some adorable cat toys that he just knew our cats would enjoy. They were big fish that supposedly flopped around and the cats were supposed to run after them. They were shipped from China and took three months to arrive, and when they did? They were a dud. They barely worked at all, and when they did, they were far too large for the cats to play with. However, when we tried to return them, there was no option to do that. The guy in the story below had a situation that worked out a little better for him. Enjoy this hilarious joke.
A young man named Chuck bought a horse from a farmer for $250. The farmer agreed to deliver the horse the next day. The next day, the farmer drove up to Chuck’s house and said, Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the horse died.
Chuck replied, Well, then just give me my money back.
The farmer said, Can’t do that. I went and spent it already.
Chuck said, Okay, then, just bring me the dead horse.
The farmer asked, What ya gonna do with him?
Chuck said, I’m going to raffle him off.
The farmer said, You can’t raffle off a dead horse!
Chuck said, Sure I can, Watch me. I just won’t tell anybody he’s dead.
A month Later, the farmer met up with Chuck and asked, What happened with that dead horse?
Chuck said, I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at five dollars apiece and made a profit of $2495.
The farmer said, Didn’t anyone complain?
Chuck said, Just the guy who won. So I gave him his five dollars back.
